S.N.O.W.
this is the most snow i ever experienced in liverpool.
liverpool is literally covered in snow. this is very unusual, being a coastal city, snow doesn't really accumulate to such levels. It reminded me of France, when I first went to ski there. felt quite peaceful, felt i was in mainland europe because of the amount of snow. It is nowhere near like canada or USA's. but it is significant.
so significant that my dental hospital is closed for the remainder of the week. extra week of holiday haha!
weather gone a bit upside down. this trend is called negative Arctic Oscillation (AO) where high pressure is at the polar region and low pressure in mid-latitudes. hence the cold blast of air towards most of europe, china, america from the north pole. Refer this BBC blog for more info. usually it is the opposite, or so called positive AO.
weather, it is interesting isn't it?

Human causing this terrible change of climate and become unusual. Global warming is turning to more serious. And I'm thinking that our mother earth cannot be save anymore since another 2 degree celcius increase in temperature, the wolrd is going to end. It's very soon. I just do what I think i suppose to do. But, do you think with human's attitudes nowadays could help the mother earth or not? I doubt it!
ReplyDeleteand it's getting so hot down under...
ReplyDeletemel: haha.. i prefer cold somehow! but my skin is getting very dry ><
ReplyDeletewivy: hm, rather unsure. earth's climate is charting into the unknown (to us humans, at least). whether or not a 2 degree C increase means irreversible destruction of the world we really don't know but mother nature sure has the way to balance all these out. I really believe the power of mother nature is great. So long you are in the fight, there's a chance! and you are not alone (eventho ppl in M'sia not really 環保) The big chill experienced now is consider normal tho, that is what my gut feeling tells me
